The Miranda's Rescue Thrift Shop raises money to help care for the shelter animals by selling a wide variety of donated items. Clothing, furniture, books, toys, small kitchen appliances, and other treasures can be found at the shop at 822 S. Fortuna Blvd (The old Salvation Army Building) in Fortuna. The Thrift Shop is open from 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 12pm to 5pm on Sunday.
If you would like to donate items for sale, please bring them by during operating hours. Donated clothing must be clean without stains or holes. Because so many people drop off TVs, computers, and typewriters that don't work, these items are not accepted. Other electrical items are accepted if they are in working order. Please don't bring in junk. Unsaleable items cost money to dispose of and reduce the funds available for the animals.
If you would like to volunteer to help, call the Thrift Shop at 725-4166.
