Other Animals
Dogs and cats aren't the only adoptable animals that we see at the shelter. Horses, goats, roosters, and even the occasional boa constrictor pass through our gates. Shannon cares for the livestock and the more exotic animals, so if you are interested in seeing or adopting one of them, you should call the shelter to speak to him or to make an appointment.
The adoption fee for horses varies according to the age and condition of the animal and is usually between $300 and $500.
As of August 10, we have assorted chickens available for $5 each. Adult roosters and hens of various breeds. Available for pets or laying; not for dinner.
